Giving Our Youth a Chance
New Foundation of Hope is a nonprofit youth organization. Our goal is to help reduce crime and bring positive change to today’s youth. We hope to do this by turning our youth into responsible citizens in life and encouraging them to always look forward to a successful future. Our goal is to keep young children off the street, teach them constructive values, promote respect, responsibility, and discipline, and help them choose a promising career.
Mission
The mission of New Foundation of Hope is to provide a safe alternative for youths between the ages of 7–18 years while bridging the gap between the end of the school day and the end of the workday for parents.
History
New Foundation of Hope, also known as NFOH, was established in October 2002 by Ronald Mason, who currently serves as its Executive Director.
Our Growth
What started as a vision in October 2002 in a building that once housed a medical office at 87th & Honore grew and eventually moved to our current location in the 8144-48 S. Kedzie Ave., which was once home to a pet shop and local alderman. The new location includes a state-of-the-art library, computer room, dance studio, and beyond.
